At Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Primary School in Pančevo, Serbia, the Neighborhood Curriculum game jam was organized as part of the Architecture and Urban Planning – An Outside Curriculum project, led by Marta Brkovic Dodig, and Dušana Nikolić and Jelena Joksimovic – both acting as external project experts. Additionally, FMK psychology students joined the workshop and PI’s doctoral student in architecture MIna Radic Sibinovic, whose expertise in educational psychology and child engagement was invaluable.
In Pančevo, students, teachers, and community members worked together to map neighborhood resources and identify local experts, integrating them into a curriculum model that enriches classroom learning with real-world experiences. By combining insights from psychology with educational design, this workshop emphasized a holistic approach to learning, making the educational experience not only more engaging for children but also tailored to their developmental needs and interests.
