October 2025. Closing event of the Relate project – three day seminar City as a curriculum

Closing event of the Relate project was the three day seminar City as a curriculum, organized by Faculty of media and communications, at the end of October 2025.

Series of lectures by the team members, themed as: Where Play Happens, Learning Unfolds moderated by Natalija Bogdanović offered new perspectives:

Biljana Branković: Towards a more humane urban childhood: playborhood evolution

Mirjana Utvić: Play happens when we show up

Slobodan Mišić & Marija Obradović: AI-Driven Play: From Generated 2D Image to 3D Physical Structure as a Work of Participatory Art

Second set of lecturing sessions, named Unfolding Space: Methodologies for Learning through Design and Play and moderated by Selena Vračar, presented conclusions from game testing:

Marta Brković Dodig: Gamemancipation Now! Multifactorial game potential in Architecture and Urban Planning

Marija Cvetinović: Learn to Play: Play to Learn – Transforming How We Teach Architecture and Urbanism

Main seminar day program was concluded by a guided spatial fantasy conducted by Maša Avramović and a fishbowl discussion: RELATE(d) reflections: Pedagogical potential of space, moderated by Jelena Vranješević.

Seminar also included a „City as a curriculum“ game testing in Isidora Sekulić primary school with children and students of pedagogy, architecture and psychology.

Final seminar day offered the recap of the Relate project results through an online discussion „City as a curriculum“ chaired by Jelena Joksimović.
