Podgorica, Montenegro – Neighborhood Curriculum Game Testing
In Podgorica, Montenegro, during October, 2025. our PI Marta Brković Dodig carried out a testing session of the Neighborhood Curriculum Game as part of the project Architecture and Urban Planning – An Outside Curriculum. The activity took place at the Marko Radević Secondary Vocational School for Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Podgorica, where the game was tested for the first time with third-year high school students.
Following the gameplay session, the PI conducted semi-structured interviews with students to critically reflect on their experiences, learning outcomes, and the game’s mechanics. The testing was followed by a discussion with experts from the NGO Arhitektice, focusing on participatory design, pedagogical urbanism, and the potential of games as educational tools.
Insight’s from both students and experts were integrated into the next development phase of the game, helping to refine its structure and educational focus. This activity marked an important step in advancing RELATE’s goal of linking spatial literacy, education, and participatory learning across diverse contexts.
