Dr Marija Obradović is an associate professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade (Serbia). She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade in 1989, at the Department of Architectural Design. She defended her master’s thesis: “General collinear planes with conjugated imaginary double elements” in 1995 at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. With her doctoral thesis: “Toroidal deltahedra with regular polygonal bases” defended in 2006 at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, she set a topic that she has continued to deal with to this day. So far, she has published 32 papers solely on this topic, both in international journals and in proceedings of international scientific conferences. She authored over 70 scientific papers published in national and international journals and proceedings of scientific conferences. She participated as a member of the Scientific Committee in 12 international conferences in the field of geometry and graphics. Also, she participated as an organizer and performer in several courses for the education of high school teachers.
She is the author of two textbooks and two collections of assignments.
Dr. Marija Obradović is a member of the Serbian Association for Geometry and Graphics (SUGIG), which she chaired for a two-year term (2014-2016). He is also a member of the International Society for Geometry and Graphics (ISGG).
Since her student days, she has been involved in art, which has resulted in her participation in several group exhibitions and one solo exhibition. She was also the organizer of an accompanying program of the 7th international conference “moNGeometrija 2020”, the exhibition of ideas, projects and models, under the name “Dimension reflected”. At this exhibition, she also won the third place award for her work: “Deltahedral Column Capitals”.
